Thursday Night Happy Hour

The shoot below was chosen for Behind the Chair magazine's Step by Step segment. Hairstyling was done by Shara Marquez of our Knox St. location:

Thursday Night Happy Hour

"Need a look to go from day-to-night for your clients? These swept over and pinned waves create a romantic, flirty look that can take her from office to a night out well into the late hours. Created by Tearsheet’s Editorial Styling participant Shara Marquez, Osgood O’Neil Salon, Dallas, TX.

Step 1: Using a 1 ¼ inch barrel iron, curl hair in two inch sections, clipping the curls in place to set.

Step 2: After removing clips, run fingers through the hair to separate the curls and slightly back-comb the crown.

Step 3: After removing a few strands around the face, pull back the hair softly to keep the texture and twist at the nape.

Step 4: Secure with bobby pins on preferred side.

Denovo Magazine November 2010

One of our very talented stylists,
Colby Sierra,(at our Knox street location)
worked with photographer Dixie Dixon and makeup artist Amanda Medina on the November 2010 issue of Denovo Magazine:

Nicole's inspiration make over

Inspiration: Susan Saint James (born August 14, 1946) an American actress and activist widely known for her work in television during the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. Despite her model good looks, Susan downplayed her sexy allure in favor of a down-to-earth appeal.

To get this look you need: Bare Radiance Foundation, Vanilla Eye Shadow, Anisette Liquid Eyeliner, Whisper Dusk Blush, Pink Diamond Lipstick, and Orchid Ice Liquid Lustre. You can also boost this look with eyelash tabs and Volumex mascara in INK, all of which  can be found at our Snider Plaza location.

Model: For this look, I enlisted the help of my friend and co-worker, Stacy Cheek.

step 1
I started by using our Bare Radiance Foundation in Natural Radiance to even out her complexion and enhance the warmth in Stacy's skin
step 2
next, I used Vanilla Mineral Shadow on the eyelid
step3
then lined the upper lash line with Anisette
Liquid Eyeliner
step 4
after applying a few eyelash tabs to each eye, two coats of mascara were applied
step5
finally, I added some bronze blush in Whisper Dusk, and completed the look with Pink Diamond Lipstick and Orchid Ice Lip Lustre.

               The resemblance is uncanny!
